About Me
I'm Abel, a full-stack developer based in Addis Ababa. I studied Computer Science at Addis Ababa University, but honestly, most of what I actually use day-to-day I taught myself. University gave me the theory, but building real things is what made it click.
I got into programming young, just messing around and trying to figure out how stuff worked. That curiosity never really went away. I started out focused on frontend, but the more I built, the more I wanted to understand what was happening underneath: the databases, the APIs, the whole system. So I pushed into full-stack.
Some of what I've built: GymTrack (an offline-first fitness tracker with Next.js, NestJS, and PostgreSQL) and a full-stack charity management platform with role-based access and Chapa payments. In production, I build AI workflow automation tools, browser extensions, and modular enterprise SaaS features.
Right now I'm building and maintaining production apps and genuinely enjoy digging into how complex systems fit together. I'm looking for a team where I can keep learning, ship things that matter, and grow alongside people who care about the craft.
